Replacement filters are the “heart” of your purification system. Replacing them regularly is not just a matter of proper maintenance, but a matter of health, as a saturated filter may become a breeding ground for bacteria or start releasing contaminants back into the water.

Main types of replacement filters
1) Activated Carbon Filters (Carbon Blocks)
These are the most common filters. They are usually made from coconut shell and absorb chlorine, chemicals and organic compounds, improving taste & odor.

2) Sediment Filters
They work as “pre-filters” and trap solid particles (dirt, rust, sand). This protects the next filtration stages from clogging.

3) Reverse Osmosis Membranes (RO Membranes)
They remove almost everything (salts, heavy metals, nitrates, etc.) and offer a very high level of purification (where an RO system is installed).
- When to replace: every 12–24 months

Tips for proper maintenance
- Stick to the schedule: even if you haven’t used all the liters, replace the filter no later than one year
- Housing cleaning: during replacement, clean the housing with warm water + a little vinegar or mild soap
- O-rings: make sure they are in place to prevent leaks
- Flush (rinsing): let the water run for 5–10 minutes after installation
